Achievements
In the nineties two new investments were realized:
- copper tubes technological line with yearly capability 8 000 Mt,
- Top Blown Rotary Converter for cupriferous waste materials processing.
Both investments, i.e. general outline, adaptation and modernization existing production facilities as well as process engineering have been made self-reliantly.
Copper tubes production line it is one of this type and one of the largest copper processing investment in Poland. Currently our participation in copper installation tube consumption on internal market is approximately 40%. Our success is, we correctly estimate copper installation tube demand and as result, good investment way. Scrap processing new investment was extorted by HUTMEN S.A. disadvantageous influence for natural environment. On the beginning of eighties we were obliged to take decision: to close scrap processing and loose big market - approximately 10 000 Mt blister copper and cast bronzes, or to make modernization of copper scrap utilization for environment protection, production level and employment maintaining.
New cupriferous waste material processing has been chosen, which substantially changed existing working conditions to eliminate seven old furnaces. They have been replaced by one Top Blown Rotary Converter with fully hermetic process. It is HUTMEN S.A. priority to produce high quality non-ferrous metal products, which satisfied our Customers requirements and expectations. Our specialized staff guarantee maintaining high position and acknowledge brand of our products both in Poland and all over the world. Incessant improvement of process and management engineering as well as modern monitoring and measuring systems ensure worldly standard of our products. High quality of our products is confirmed in 1998 by the certificates of Quality Management System conformity with ISO 9002.
During 61 years tradition in the area of non-ferrous metals processing HUTMEN S.A. achieved world level quality of the products with Polish, European, and World standards conformity. Approximately 40% HUTMEN S.A. production is exported to European countries, as Germany, England, France, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Slovakia, Czech Republic; North America as USA, Canada; South-East Asia as Singapore, Hong-kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan.
